Bayern Munich player Thomas Mueller once again expressed his satisfaction about the results that the Bavarian club traditionally achieved when it had to face teams led by Lionel Messi.
And he did it before the Paris Saint-Germain match, which was held on Wednesday, and he did it again after the match, after the French club was eliminated from the Champions League round 16.
Mueller said after the match: “Against Messi, things are always going well on all levels in terms of results. At club level, Cristiano Ronaldo was our problem when he was at Real Madrid.
Against Paris Saint-Germain, Mueller recalled two matches in particular: “Of course I know my stats in matches against Messi. Before a game like tomorrow’s game, they always talk about these things. It was 2-8 against Barcelona, but I think more importantly the aggregate score was 7-0 in our favor in the 2013 semi-finals.
And now they’ve done it again, with Paris Saint-Germain eliminated from European competition.
