Lionel Messi’s next destination has been ‘revealed’ after Sergio Aguero revealed a private conversation he had with the Paris Saint-Germain star.
There is a lot of speculation about where Messi will play football next season, as his contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of the current season.
The French giants are very keen to keep the Argentine in Paris, but they face competition from Messi’s former team Barcelona, as well as from the American League team Inter Miami, who are keen to bring him to the United States.
However, there now appears to be another club in the running according to Messi’s close friend Sergio Aguero.
In an interview with UOL, the former Manchester City striker said: “He’s seriously considering the possibility of playing for Newell’s Old Boys.”
The World Cup winner spent five years in the academy at Newell’s, Argentina, and was also a club player, before being snapped up by Barcelona and joining the famous La Masia academy.
However, Aguero’s revelations were quickly interrupted by former Liverpool player Maxi Rodriguez, who added: “Kun is kun. He can’t be silent. We’ll see”.
He added: “It is hard to talk about this because then a giant ball of rumours is made. Let’s wait and see what happens. We will not get ahead of the facts.”
