Lewandowski teaches Ansu Fati a lesson he “will never forget” in Barcelona locker room after the defeat against Man Utd

Robert Lewandowski ended the game at Old Trafford visibly upset. Not only because of the elimination from the Europa League, but because he had the opportunity to equalize in the last minutes, but once again one of his teammates knocked the goal out of his hands.

And it is that, on a fine cross by Ferran Torres inside the area, already in stoppage time, Ansu Fati rose and took the ball while in an unsuitable position to shoot and missed Lewandowski’s chance to equalize in the dead of time.

Worst of all, this is not the first time this has happened: in the 10th round, Ansu Fati also grabbed a goal from Lewandowski in the match against Betis at Benito Villamarín on February 1, although this situation ended unnoticed and the Blaugrana were knocked out. From the match with the three points after winning (1-2).

Perhaps because it was not the first time or because of the “heat” of the moment, but at the end of the match Lewandowski was seen very angry. He first went to Ferran Torres to explain with visible gestures that he was in an excellent position to finish the attack, but Fati incorrectly finished the chance, which ruled out the possibility of equalizing and going at least to extension.

Lewandowski also went to Jordi Alba, one of the captains in the team, to express his bewilderment at this incomprehensible behavior from the young player.

Indeed, as AS has learned, the Poland international in the dressing room scolded Ansu Fati for his behaviour. With good manners and without sharpness, Lewandowski made him see that it was the second time he snatched a very clear goal from him inside the area.

He urged him to be more attentive in this type of move and measure his chances of scoring from all angles, because he might hurt the team, as happened in this opportunity.

Fati apologised, confirming that he had not seen it and that he had thought he was in a better position to score on goal, although he admitted that his shot was just as bad.

In any case, it was a lesson from Lewandowski to Ansu to be more attentive in these kinds of movements inside the area and better manage his anxiety to score a goal, which is certainly complicated for a player who can boast of wearing the number 10 shirt on his back.
