Messi is in Barcelona. The Argentine arrived in the Catalan capital this evening after Paris Saint-Germain’s deadly victory over Lille, in which he played a leading role after scoring the decisive goal in stoppage time: 4-3.
This is the first time that he has returned to his home in which he lived for many years after the World Cup, and he did so accompanied by his wife, Antonella, and their three sons.

Christophe Galtier has given his players two days off after an afternoon’s exertion at the Parc des Princes. The team will return to its routine on Wednesday at 11am at the Camp de Loges to prepare for next Sunday’s match against Marseille.
Olympique de Marseille eliminated Paris Saint-Germain from the cup last week, and the Velodrome will once again be the scene of a league match between the two teams with the most rivalry.
Leo’s father, Jorge, had settled in Barcelona last week after he negotiated with Luis Campos and Al-Khulaifi in Paris to renew the contract of the player, who is still stuck, pending another meeting with Paris Saint-Germain soon.
Despite the first refusal, the Parisian club hopes to be able to persuade him to continue until 2024. Messi is an important asset and the club’s intention is to provide him with great improvements.
