Barcelona strengthened its lead in the La Liga standings, with 56 points, 11 points behind Real Madrid, who finished in second place. Yesterday, Araujo received his fifth yellow card, which means he was suspended for one match due to the accumulation of cards, and he will miss the next Cadiz match in the league.
Araujo gave an interview on the “ Jijantes ” channel on Twitch, in which he talked about many things, and started talking about facing Villarreal, saying: “I am happy, because of yesterday’s match. We have come from a difficult time. We are fine in all aspects. I think I’m in the best moment since the coach arrived. We are doing well. The results are good. I am happy”.

Regarding the 11-point difference with Real Madrid, he said: “It makes us happy to add and continue at the top. There is still a lot of league left, nothing won. You have to work humbly. We knew the importance of yesterday’s match. Last season we were 15 or 16 points behind. This distance gives us confidence, we are on a good path.”
And he talked about Vinicius, the Real Madrid player: “He is a great player. I love him. It is very difficult to defend against. I’m glad things went well for us. We will suffer a lot with him in the coming years.”
On other offers and the renewal of his contract with Barcelona: “Luis Suarez has been and still is very important to me since I arrived at the club. Not only in football. It helped me. It gave me confidence. He communicates with me constantly. He advised me to renew. I was clear that I wanted to stay. There were other options for me, but I decided to stay here.
In response to a question about the players he would like to join Barcelona, Araujo said: “If I were Mateu Alemany, I would have signed with Bentancur and Messi.”
He added, regarding Messi’s return to Barcelona: “We all want him in our team, he is the best in the world. It would be a huge thing. I don’t know how it will be done. I will love it. He’s amazing, as a player and as a person. It is differentiated. He is the best in the world. I learned a lot with him.”
