FC Barcelona will welcome Seville on Sunday (9:00 pm Spanish time) with the aim of adding three new points to its tally and continuing to consolidate its lead in the 2022/23 La Liga standings.
The confrontation begins with a controversy, as the Seville club, before the match, filed a complaint in which it expressed its dissatisfaction with the actions of the Barcelona club, which “prevented the sale of tickets to its fans.”
Sevilla showed their displeasure and shock through a strongly worded official statement warning that “Camp Nou security will prevent fans wearing the clothes or emblems of Sevilla Football Club from entering.”
The official statement:
“Seville Club submitted an official complaint to FC Barcelona in response to the action it took to prevent the sale of tickets to Seville fans, as well as preventing them from accessing the team’s logos, while also sending the same complaint to La Liga to find out the reason.”
“Seville FC wishes to show its surprise and rejection of the warning that is being sent to fans interested in purchasing a ticket through FC Barcelona’s official channels for the match that will take place on Sunday at the Camp Nou at 9:00 pm.”
This warning reads literally: “It is forbidden to purchase for Sevilla fans. Fans wearing Sevilla FC clothing or emblems will be denied entry to the stadium.
“The club does not understand the purpose of the message or why, even when the danger of the match has been announced, a Sevilla FC fan cannot access the stadium wearing or wearing a team shirt or scarf.”
